May Fair day 2018 was another great success with beautiful weather and large crowds enjoying the celebrations. Amelia Batten was crowned as this years May Queen with Paige MacDonald-Bale as her Crowner and Freddie North and Albie Smithson as Heralds. Attendants were Allannah McConnachie, Poppy Fry, Ellie Cooke, Lillie Barber, Evie Hill, Calypso Smithson, Amber Schofield and Lily Beer. The theme this year was "our Cavalier town", Keeley the Mayor's consort and the dressmakers Stephanie and Tanya Fisher all agreed how lovely it would be to see two Cavaliers walking down the town square on Mayfair Day, so the theme was built around the boys which is quite unusual.  Keeley said "the Cavaliers do so much for us and I think it was a great idea to honour their heritage and nice to have a theme that was just Great Torrington". I'm sure you will agree the children look stunning.
